Punjab Police launched another commendable initiative for the Community Policing and resolving citizens' issues
RPOs and DPOs visited mosques during Friday prayers, listen to citizens' issues, inform about latest police services
Mosques will be made centers of community engagement according to the spirit and teachings of Islam, says IG Punjab
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, taking into account the significant role of the mosques (ممبر و محراب) in consolidation of peace & reform of society and providing justice to citizens, has taken another commendable step for community policing. On the instructions of IG Punjab, RPOs, DPOs, and senior police officers visited local mosques after Friday prayers. Senior police officers listened to citizens' issues in the mosques, issued orders for their resolution, and informed citizens about the services and facilities provided by the police. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the importance and necessity of mosques in the reform, construction, and development of peaceful society cannot be denied. According to the spirit and teachings of Islam, mosques will be made centers of community engagement. IG Punjab instructed senior officers to listen to the issues of citizens at their doorstep through mosques and ensure timely resolution. IG Punjab also said that police officers should inform citizens about the modern services and facilities provided by the police so that they can easily benefit from them when needed. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the connection, cooperation, and trust between the police and citizens should be further strengthened by such more initiatives.
