GUJRAT: Police on Wednesday repatriated a suspect wanted in a double murder case from Dubai through Interpol. A spokesman for Gujrat police said a man and his son had been murdered in Bhalot Gajju village of Dinga Police around a year ago. One of the suspects, Farooq, of Gajju village, had fled abroad after the incident. The Dinga police got the suspect repatriated from Dubai through Interpol.
ARRESTED: Two men were arrested by police for overcharging the visitors and misbehaving with them at the parking lot of Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital during a crackdown on parking mafia here. The action was taken by Assistant Commissioner (AC) Bilal Zubair on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Safdar Virk following the complaints lodged by the citizens. The AC, after verification of the complaints, reached the spot along with the police and got both the staffers of parking contractor arrested on the spot. It is learnt that the staffers were charging Rs50 as parking fee instead of the approved Rs20. Civil Lines police registered a case against them on the report of Khalid Mahmood, an official of the AC office, and started investigation.
