Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar took notice of the viral video on social media and directed legal action against the woman driving the car who abused Traffic Warden Shahid Hussain. IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar invited Traffic Warden Shahid Hussain to his office and paid tribute to him for showing exemplary patience and endurance during duty. IG Punjab encouraged by paying words of thanks, certificate of appreciation and cash reward to Shahid Hussain for his patience in response to the abuse.
According to the spokesman of Punjab Police, Traffic Warden Shahid Hussain was performing his duties at Siddique Trade Center Fawara Chowk on May 18, there was traffic pressure due to the rally of a religious party to express solidarity with Palestine, the traffic system was kept flowing by the alternative route (diversion) by the traffic police. At the same time, the woman in the unknown car ran away from the spot after abusing the traffic officer. Shahid Hussain, traffic officer on duty, showed great patience and said thank you in response to the abuse. The unethical behavior of the woman in the car was captured by 01 citizen present in the rally on his mobile phone and the said video went viral on social media.
