IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar instructed to increase the number of students in police welfare schools.

A-level and O-level programs should be launched in schools owned by Punjab Police, IG Punjab

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar has issued directions to increase the number of students in police welfare schools established in different districts. IG Punjab directed that RPOs, DPOs visit police welfare schools themselves, improve the supervision of administrative and teaching processes. IG Punjab said that all the schools of Punjab Police are being shifted to solar system, A-level and O-level programs should be started in these schools owned by the Punjab Police. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that new classrooms, science and computer lab, modern playgroup facilities are being provided in police welfare schools, teachers of police schools will be trained by modern institutions including FAST. IG Punjab directed the officers to regularly organize extra-curricular and sports activities, speech competitions in police welfare schools. He further said that the education standard of Punjab Police schools is better than any private educational institutions. He expressed these views while presiding over an important meeting about Police Educational Institutes at the Central Police Office. RPOs, DPOs and principales of police welfare schools participated in the meeting through video link. IG Punjab reviewed the facilities provided in the schools managed by Punjab Police. Commandant Police Training College Chung Mehboob Aslam, his wife Sophia Waraich and ASP Shaherbano Naqvi attended the meeting.
