IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar awarded Ghazi Medals to 12 brave officers and officials.
These officers displayed exemplary courage and commitment in the line of duty against robbers, drug dealers, and anti-social elements etc.
Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar encouraged police officers and officials who were injured in the line of duty such as encounters with robbers, drug dealers, miscreants with Ghazi Medals. In a ceremony held at the Central Police Office, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar awarded Ghazi Medals to 12 brave officers and officials including DSP Bilal Ahmad, ASI Ashiq Ali, ASI Muhammad Imran Gill, Constable Khurram Shehzad, Saqib Razaq, Muhammad Nasir, Muhammad Nadeem, Mohsin Yousaf, Constable Muhammad Irfan, Muhammad Nadeem, Rana Adnan Manzoor and Zubair Younas were awarded Ghazi Medals.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the brave officers and officials bravely fought the criminals without caring for their lives. The names of the brave officers will be engraved on the Ghazi Wall of the Central Police Office. IG Punjab said that brave officers and personnel of Punjab Police are facing multifaceted challenges with limited resources, acknowledging the services of brave Ghazis is very important to boost the morale of the force. Dr. Usman Anwar said that the officers and officials who have been declared Ghazi are entitled to the best facilities and more measures will be taken to honor them. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that providing facilities and quick rehabilitation of these brave officers and officials is the first priority, there will be no reduction in the provision of the best medical facilities for the speedy recovery of Ghazi officers and soldiers. The families of Ghazis officers and officials specially participated in the ceremony. Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, AIG Discipline Asif Ameen Awan and other officers were also present on the spot.
