Over Rs1 billion approved for cops in four months

LAHORE: Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar has approved more than Rs1billion for cops in various categories during the first four months of the year. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, the IGP has released the money for police employees in categories of educational scholarships, medical financial assistance, daughters’ grants for police martyrs, wedding gift, farewell grant, maintenance allowance, houses construction, legal assistance, funeral expenses and urgent financial assistance. He said the IGP was considering more programmes in collaboration with other institutions for police force.
