Punjab Police & Interpol Islamabad's joint operation, 03 more dangerous proclaimed offenders arrested from UAE and Saudi Arabia

Proclaimed offender Wajeh ul Hassan and Muhammad Suleman were arrested from the United Arab Emirates while Muhammad Ashraf was arrested from Saudi Arabia and extradited to Pakistan.

On the directions of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police is continuing its crackdown against the fugitive, proclaimed offenders residing abroad, in continuation of which, Punjab Police and Interpol Islamabad conducted joint operations and arrested 03 criminals from United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia and transferred them to Pakistan. Inspector Najam Faraz of Punjab Police Special Operation Cell arrived at Lahore Airport with two proclaimed offenders from the United Arab Emirates. Wajih-ul-Hassan had killed a citizen three years ago in the jurisdiction of Sadar Daska police station Sialkot, second fugitive, Muhammad Suleman, was wanted in the case of abducting his children and illegally transferring them to Dubai by Rangpura police station Sialkot, the third proclaimed offender Muhammad Ashraf was transferred from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan. Muhammad Ashraf was wanted by the Bahawalpur police for the past 9 years in murder and other cases. The three fugitives were arrested with the mutual coordination of Punjab Police and Interpol Islamabad, after completing the legal procedures, all accused were extradited.

Spokesman of Punjab Police said that the total number of criminals arrested from abroad this year has increased to 34. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the RPO Gujranwala, team of Special Operation Cell for arresting dangerous proclaimed offenders from abroad. IG Punjab directed that the accused should be given real punishment while completing the legal proceedings soon. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that the crackdown should be intensified to arrest dangerous proclaimed offenders wanted in serious cases.
