KASUR: The Pattoki police arrested a robber in an injured condition after an encounter between the police and robbers on Wednesday near village Jagowala. The accomplices of the injured robber fled. According to the police, the robber was injured by his accomplices while exchanging fire with the local police. The police also stated that the gang had shot and injured a police official at a check post a few days prior. The police stated that after receiving a call at 15, four unidentified robbers snatched a bike, cash, and a cell phone at gunpoint, they chased the robbers. The police shifted the injured gunman, identified as Haider of Changa Manga, to the Pattoki THQ Hospital. He is a proclaimed offender wanted in over a dozen cases of robbery and other heinous crimes. Police investigations were underway.
