The fourth match of the Pakistan New Zealand T20 cricket series at the Gaddafi Stadium, Punjab Police ensured foolproof security arrangements.
The fourth match of the T20 cricket series between Pakistan and New Zealand was played at Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday night, for which Punjab Police ensured foolproof security and traffic management arrangements. On the instructions of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, excellent arrangements were made for the security of the players, match officials, cricket fans and the cricket fans enjoyed the cricket match in a peaceful atmosphere.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Punjab Police has prepared a more better strategy for matches security than before, close coordination of Punjab Police with all institutions including Pakistan Cricket Board, District Administration, Security Agencies is complete. IG Punjab said that 6,000 police officers & personnel are performing security duties for both matches in Lahore. Lady police officers have been appointed for security and checking of women cricket fans.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed that search, sweep, combing & intelligence-based operations should be continued around the players' residences, routes, stadiums. Monitoring of the stadium, hotel and the route of teams should be ensured with the help of Safe Cities Authority cameras. On the direction of IG Punjab, a traffic advisory has been issued to ensure uninterrupted flow of traffic and adequate parking, which has been ensured to be implemented, Dolphin Squad, Police Response Unit, Elite Force teams are ensuring effective patrolling during the matches. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the staff posted at the entrances and exits of the stadium behaved well with the citizens, He appealed that the cricket fans should follow the instructions of the Punjab Police to enjoy the matches in a safe environment.
