IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar presided over the meeting about "Tahafuz Manzil" project
For the protection & assistance of vulnerable, scope of Tahafuz Manzil will be expanded further, more measures will be ensured.
On the pattern of Lahore, more Tahufuz Manzils will be establishment in Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Gujranwala, IG Punjab.
Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar presided over a meeting about the “Tahafuz Manzil" in which the performance of the “Tahafuz Manzil foster home" was reviewed in detail. Punjab Police’s pilot project “Tahafuz Manzil foster home" is providing protection and shelter to children who ran away from home and to the homeless women.During the meeting, it was decided to further expand the “Tahafuz Manzil" project to help homeless children and women suffering from social problems.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that on the pattern of Lahore, “Tahafuz Manzil" will also be implemented in Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Gujranwala, these “Tahafuz Manzil" will play an important role in helping homeless children and women suffering from social problems. Dr. Usman Anwar said that the CPOs and DPOs of the respective districts will supervise the “Tahafuz Manzil" project. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Lahore's Tahafuz Manzil is doing an exemplary job in helping and protecting orphans, homeless and destitute children and women suffering from difficulties, in the same manner, the scope of this exemplary public service project will be extended to other districts of the province. Additional IG Operations Shahzada Sultan, DIG Headquarters Humayun Bashir Tarar, Commandant PC Chung Mehboob Aslam Lilla, AIG Operations Punjab Dr. Asad Ejaz Malhi, CTO Lahore Amara Athar, ASP Syeda Shahrabano Naqvi and social worker Zufshan Anoushe also attended the meeting.
