IG Punjab distributed 64 lakh 50 thousand rupees to 16 police officers and officials of different districts for the expenses incurred on the cases.

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that for the sake of the department, no officer or official will be left alone to face the prosecution, and every possible support will be provided to officers and officials facing legal cases in the line of professional duties. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that we are increasing the endowment fund to help police employees who are suffering from such legal problems, any official facing court cases will no longer have to sell his house, land, or wife's jewellery. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has taken another positive initiative to provide financial assistance to police officers facing legal cases and prosecution and in the ceremony held at the Central Police Office, 16 police employees of different districts have been given an amount of Rs. 64 lakhs and 50 thousands rupees. According to the details, assistance is being provided from the special legal endowment fund to the officials facing cases arising during duty. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar had established a legal endowment fund with Rs 10 crore last year to help police officers facing cases. Earlier, 68 lakh rupees have been given to 20 police employees for legal expenses from this fund.

According to the spokesman of Punjab Police, Pakpattan DSP Muhammad Arshad Ali, Inspector Muhammad Asif and two officials were given 2 million rupees. Faisalabad Police's sub-inspector Zafar Iqbal was given 10 lakh rupees for the expenses of the case. Okara Police's Inspector Ghazi Tahir Waheed and ASI Ali Ahmad were given Rs 10 lakh rupees, 08 lakh rupees were given to 03 officials including ASI Muhammad Atiq Majid of Rawalpindi. The remaining amount was given to other 07 police teams facing cases in different districts. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar also strongly encouraged the officials who were suffering cases for the sake of the department. Additional IG Welfare Riaz Nazir Gara, Additional IG Operations Shahzada Sultan, DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salah ud din and AIG Welfare Amara Shirazi were also present in the ceremony.
