Additional IG Investigation Branch Punjab Muhammad Idrees Ahmad chaired a video link meeting at the Central Police Office, All SSPs and SPs Investigation, DSP Legals and other supervisory officers of the province participated in the meeting through video link. In the meeting, the follow-up progress report of ten years of cases and challans was reviewed and ten-year performance of each district in pending cases, pending roads and dismissed cases was also reviewed.
Additional IG Investigation Muhammad Idrees Ahmad appreciated the best performing districts in terms of pending challans and cases under investigation and directed the rest of the districts to improve their performance during the Eid holidays. Additional IG Investigation directed that action be taken against those who filed false cases within the past seven years and they should be brought to justice by real punishments from the courts. Additional IG Investigation Punjab directed the SPs and SDPOs to visit the crime scene in case of sensitive & heinous crimes. Additional IG Muhammad Idrees emphasized that all districts pay special attention to electricity theft cases and along with WAPDA and the prosecution play their role in bringing the power thieves to justice.
