IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar instructions, departmental promotion continues in police force
187 officials of Sargodha and Gujranwala region have been promoted to the next ranks, said Punjab Police spokesman.
On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, departmental promotion of police force is going on according to merit and seniority, in continuation of which 187 officials of Sargodha and Gujranwala region have been promoted to the next ranks. According to the details, 37 ASIs were promoted to sub-inspectors, 77 head constables were promoted to ASIs, 49 constables were promoted to head constable rank in Sargodha region. Those promoted include officials from Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali and Bhakkar..In Gujranwala region also, the series of promotions continues, the promotion of 24 personnel was approved. 12 ASIs were promoted to the posts of Sub-Inspectors, 12 Head Constables to the posts of ASIs.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar while congratulating the promoted officers directed them to serve the people wholeheartedly and ensure more effective prevention of crimes. Dr. Usman Anwar said that according to merit and seniority, departmental promotion of officials on vacant posts in all districts is going on. IG Punjab further said that more than 20,000 promotions have been given in the police force, more personnel eligible for promotion will be given their right. Dr. Usman Anwar instructed the force that departmental promotion is a main means of morale building of the force, and the results of these promotions should be conveyed to citizens in the form of better performance.
