Punjab Chief Minister's directive: Punjab Police's special campaign against metal strings and kite flying continues.

During the campaign to protect the citizens, Punjab Police distributed safety wires to more than 15 thousand motorcycle riders.

On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a special campaign against metal strings and kite flying is going on across the province, in continuation of which, during the campaign to protect the citizens, Punjab Police distributed safety wires to more than 15 thousand motorcycle riders. Spokesman of Punjab Police further said that safety wire guards have been installed on more than 01 lakh and 10 thousand motorcycles so far during the safety wire installation campaign. Operations wing police have distributed more than 76 thousand, traffic police 31 thousand safety wire among motorcyclists.

Spokesman Punjab Police gave details of operations under the Kite Flying Act across the province during the last 24 hours. He said that police teams registered 30 cases across the province and arrested 30 accused, 4368 kites and 1073 metallic spinning wheels were recovered from the possession of the accused. Spokesman of Punjab Police added that during the last 36 days, 3,526 cases were registered under the Act of Anti-Kite Flying across the province including Lahore and 3,659 accused were arrested, 223881 kites and 15799 metallic spinning wheels were recovered from the possession of the accused. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar issued orders to supervisory officers to speed up the crackdown against metal strings and kites under personal supervision.
