SAHIWAL: A woman and her two sons, who had been missing for a day, were found murdered in a house in Bagi Bhari locality of Chak Shafi on Friday night. Reports said locals alerted the authorities about the disappearance of three family members through emergency helpline. Upon arrival, the Rang Shah police found one of the rooms in the house locked. After forcibly entering the room, they discovered the bodies of the three victims. The Punjab IG took notice of the triple murder and directed the Sahiwal RPO to submit a report within three days. The Rang Shah Police identified the deceased woman Sardarain Bibi (62) and her two sons Rafaqat (35) and Liaquat (42).
Pakpattan DPO Tariq Walayat rushed to the scene. Early evidence suggests that the triple murder was carried out by a sharp knife or dagger. Speaking to Dawn over the phone, Tariq Walayat expressed suspicions regarding the absence of the house servant from the scene. He said police had located the servant and hoped that he might have information related to the triple murder.Rang Shah Sub-Inspector Mr. Hashim cordoned off the area, gathered forensic evidence, and shifted the bodies to the DHQ Hospital in Pakpattan for autopsy. Police suspect that the murders occurred 20 to 24 hours before the discovery of the bodies.
RAPE: An orphan minor girl was allegedly raped by a youth at Chak 61/12-L, Okain Wala Bangla. The girl was shifted to Chichawatni Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for medical treatment. The investigation SP visited the minor girl and assured the family that the suspect would be arrested at the earliest. Reports said the seven-year-old girl was playing in the village street when a neighbour ‘S’ allegedly took her to his house and raped her. The girl was shifted to hospital by Rescue 1122. SI Raees said police registered a case on the complaint of the victim’s mother and arrested the suspect.
