Biker held for beating two wardens

NAROWAL: A motorcyclist allegedly beat up two traffic wardens for stopping him from driving the bike at high speed here on Wednesday. Traffic official Nadeem Akhtar complained to police that he along with his colleagues was on duty at Chowk Allah Ho Shakargarh. He said a speeding motorcycle was coming towards Shakargarh city from Norkot town. He said he signaled the motorcyclist, but he did not stop the two-wheeler. He said when biker Mohammad Mubasher, a resident of Rashidpura Shakargarh, was stopped, he started abusing the traffic warden. He said when the biker was prevented from foul language, he started torturing traffic wardens Asghar Ali and Muhammad Ashfaq. The motorcyclist tore apart the uniform of Asghar Ali and also injured him and managed his escape. Shakargarh city police have registered a case against Mubasher on the complaint of Nadeem Akhtar. The Narowal DPO said police arrested the biker four hours after the incident.
