Hundreds of cases have been registered under the Anti-Kite Flying Act across the province. According to police spokesman, 512 suspects involved in kite flying were arrested during the last 24 hours and 535 cases were registered. The police have seized 59,877 kites and 700 string rolls from the accused. The spokesman said 2,991 people were arrested and 2,855 were booked in the ongoing crackdown and 105,076 kites and 2,791 string rolls were recovered from accused. Meanwhile, the IGP directed the CCPO Lahore, the RPOs, the DPOs to adopt zero tolerance against kite flying and take strict action against sellers and manufacturers of kites and metallic strings.
