New recruitment in Punjab Police, Written exam conducted in 26 districts including Lahore.

Lahore: According to the sources of Daily Notable, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that in order to meet the shortage of personnel in the police department, hardworking, capable and talented youths are being recruited and made part of the force. In this regard, written examination was conducted for the recruitment of new personnel in 26 districts of the province including Lahore, in which thousands of candidates took part in the written test. Spokesman Punjab Police said that a total of 47023 candidates gave the written exams for 7909 posts of constable, lady constable, driver constable and traffic assistant. In 26 districts of the province, 36570 candidates appeared for 6089 constable/lady constable posts, 1163 candidates appeared for 190 driver constable posts, while 9290 candidates appeared for 1630 traffic assistant posts.

In provincial capital Lahore 5574 candidates took the exam for 2951 vacant posts. In Lahore, 4075 candidates appeared for 2586 constable posts, 109 candidates appeared for 50 driver constable posts and 1390 appeared for 315 traffic assistant posts in the written exam. Spokesman Punjab Police said that recruitment for 491 seats in Gujranwala, 460 in Gujarat, 441 in Faisalabad, 367 seats in Rawalpindi, 337 in Sargodha, 231 in DG Khan, 255 in Bahawalpur, 240 in Mandi Bahauddin, 224 in Muzaffargarh is underway. Thousands of candidates are giving exams for hundreds of posts in other remaining districts too. On the instructions of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the supervisory officers personally supervised the arrangements for the written examination in all the districts and the police teams ensured complete transparent and foolproof arrangements for conducting the examination in each district.
