IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has taken notice of the incident of death of a young man riding a motorcycle due to metallic string near the samundri road in Faisalabad. IGP Punjab has sought the report of the incident from the RPO Faisalabad. As soon as the incident was reported, CPO Faisalabad himself reached the spot and legal action was taken after examining the incident from every aspect. IG Punjab directed CPO Faisalabad to ensure strict implementation of Anti Kite Flying Act. IG Punjab said action should be taken indiscriminately against kite flying, selling and makers. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the Punjab Police is taking indiscriminate action under the Anti-Kite Flying Act. During the last 24 hours, 26 cases were registered and 27 accused were arrested for violating the Kite Act. More than 36 hundred kites, more than 40 spinning metallic strings and kite-making equipment have also been recovered from the possession of the accused.
