Additional IG Investigation Punjab Muhammad Idrees Ahmad chaired an important meeting at the Central Police Office, in which all the SSPs/SPs Investigation of the province participated through video link. Additional IG Muhammad Idrees Ahmad reviewed the performance of SDPOs across Punjab regarding investigation matters. In the meeting, a detailed review of the progress on the pending challans and the under investigation cases of the last 10 years was also taken. Additional IG Investigation Punjab Muhammad Idrees Ahmad said that the senior investigation officers should expedite the procession of pending cases with the effective mutual coordination of the prosecution department and should complete the pending challans and send the progress report to the Investigation Headquarters. Additional IG Investigation directed that modern technology, forensic science should be fully utilized in the investigation of serious crimes, SPs investigation should be personally supervised and complete the investigation of high profile cases in minimum possible time. Additional IG Investigation Punjab Muhammad Idrees Ahmad directed that all investigating officers should further improve their performance following merit and professionalism and March's performance will be reviewed early next month. Additional IG Investigation further said that in heinous cases, spare no effort to ensure that the culprits are punished for what they have done. DIG Investigation Captain Retired Syed Hamad Abid, SP Investigation Shazia Sarwar, AIG Monitoring Tariq Mehboob, DSP Legal Nasir Panjuta, DSP Crime Monitoring Sheikh Muzaffar Akram and other officers were present in the meeting.
