SAHIWAL: The Pakpattan police arrested three brothers who injured three people for forbidding them from harassing a woman who came to buy some medicine from a medical store at Jamal Chowk on Tuesday.The Saddar police arrested Tayab, Taswar, and Muzamil, while the fourth brother, Bilal, fled. The police said Rasheed, of 20/SP, was standing at Jamal Chowk along with his cousin Jameel, Shahid, and son Shaukat. There, a boy came along with his sister-in-law to buy some medicine. Muzamil and Taswar riding a motorcycle hit the woman standing at the roadside. Rasheed asked Muzamil to be decent. The conversation exchanged into hot words and abuses. Muzamil’s two brothers came from a nearby shop, and they started beating Rasheed, his son Shaukat, Jameel and Shahid. Later Muzamil fired at Rasheed and his companions. Locals called emergency police because the firing continued for 10 to 15 minutes. Rescue 1122 shifted three injured in critical condition to the Pakpattan DHQ Hospital.
