MUZAFFARGARH: Layyah police claimed on Monday to have arrested a suspect who allegedly demanded Rs5 million extortion from a doctor. Layyah District Police Officer Asadur Rehman said some days back suspect Sher Zaman using a WhatsApp number had threatened Dr Tayyab Araien and his family. Dr Tayyab contacted the police with voice messages and calls. The Layyah police formed a team, led by City Station House Officer Iftikhar Irfan, leading to the successful tracing and arrest of the suspect.
