Additional IG Investigation Punjab Muhammad Idrees Ahmad presided over a video link meeting at the Central Police Office. SSPs/ SPs investigation and DSPs legal of all districts participated in the meeting through video link. Additional IG Investigation Punjab Muhammad Idrees Ahmad while issuing instructions during the meeting stressed that challans (reports u/section 173 Cr PC) should be submitted on time. Additional IG Investigation Muhammad Idrees Ahmad said that the interim challan must be submitted within (14+3) 17 days, work load of investigating officers should be properly managed with more effective management. Additional IG Investigation Muhammad Idrees Ahmad directed that the cases of blind murders should be traced brought to a logical conclusion as soon as possible. All SDPOs should complete the officer records under own supervision and personally supervise investigation of important cases. Additional IG Investigation Punjab directed that the cases of the nominated accused should be worked out with full attention. Investigating officers should appear in courts with full preparation for cases. Additional IG Investigation Punjab directed that the officers of the specialized units should complete the investigation of the high profile cases. He stressed that SPs spare no effort to improve the conviction rate of investigation cases. DIG Investigation Captain retired Syed Hamad Abid, AIG Monitoring Tariq Mehboob, DSP Legal Nasir Panjuta, DSP Crime Monitoring Sheikh Muzaffar Akram and other officers were also present in the meeting.
