Sheikhupura Police took big initiative to keep the environment peaceful during the election.

 

On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, police teams are on high alert in all the districts of the province, in this regard, Punjab Police has taken a big step to maintain the atmosphere of peace and law & order in Sheikhupura during the election. Sheikhupura Police conducted a grand operation across the district before the election and seized a large quantity of weapons from the electoral candidates and their supporters. RPO Sheikhupura Babar Sarfraz Alpa said that during the crackdown Sheikhupura police seized 830 guns of different bore including 226 Kalashnikovs. RPO Sheikhupura said that the police teams also registered cases against 770 people under various provisions. RPO Sheikhupura said that it is the responsibility of the police to make the election peaceful and police is ensuring implementation of the code of conduct of the Election Commission in all the districts of Sheikhupura region. RPO Sheikhupura said that display of arms is strictly prohibited and no one will be allowed to violate the law during the election days.
