Punjab Police ensuring atmosphere of peace and & law & order for safe conduct of Election 2024, achieved important milestones related to monitoring
Agreement finalized between Safe Cities Authority, PITB and NRTC, 29 thousand cameras will be purchased for election monitoring.

Punjab Police has achieved another important milestone for peaceful conduct of Election 2024 and monitoring of all polling stations. On the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, an agreement has been inked between Safe Cities Authority, PITB and NRTC. The representatives of the three institutions signed the agreement in the presence of IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar. According to the agreement, 29 thousand cameras will be purchased for monitoring the general election. The purchase of cameras will cost a total of Rs. 01 billion and 35 crores PKR. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the cameras purchased after the election will be the property of the Punjab government. IG Punjab said that the new cameras will be equipped with modern and night vision technology which will help in monitoring the electoral process and ensure peaceful conduct. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that all possible resources are being utilized for the peaceful conduct of general elections and effective use of modern technology will ensure moment-to-moment monitoring of the election process.
