Punjab Police is providing financial assistance for the construction of houses for the families of police martyrs who embraced martyrdom before 2017.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar gave 65 lakh rupees to the families of 13 martyrs, 03 laptops to daughters of 02 martyrs and a serving police officer.
Under the direction of Inspector General Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar, the Welfare Branch of Punjab Police is continuing to support the construction of houses for the families of police martyrs who embraced martyrdom before 2017. In continuation of which a ceremony was held at the Central Police Office, where IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar gave 05 lakh rupees via cheques to each of the 13 police martyrs families. IG Punjab also gave laptops to daughters of 2 martyrs and a serving policeman.
According to the details, financial aid cheques were given to the families of Nazir Ahmed Shaheed, Ghulam Murtaza and Gulfam Shahzad Shaheed of Lahore Police for the construction of houses. Families of Rawalpindi Police's Khalid Mehmood, Faisalabad Police's martyrs Abdul Rauf and Riaz Hussain received cheques of 05 lakh PKR each. Similarly cheques were given to the families of Muhammad Ameen of Bahawalnagar, Muhammad Athar of Bahawalpur. 05 lakh pkr Cheques were given to the families of Muhammad Waris, Muhammad Amjad, Muhammad Arshad, of Gujrat police and Saeed Ahmed of Khanewal Ehsaan ullah of Okara police martyr.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Punjab Police has so far given 01.95 million rupees to the families of 17 martyrs for the construction of houses. In the ceremony, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar awarded laptops to Maryam Zafar, daughter of Zafar Iqbal Shaheed, Sara Shahid, daughter of Shaheed Inspector Rana Shahid and Zoha Bibi, daughter of Muhammad Zahid of Rahim Yar Khan. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the Welfare Branch of Punjab Police is also assisting in the construction of houses after providing plots for the construction of houses of all police martyrs who embraced martyrdom before 2017.
IG Punjab said that police martyrs are our pride, solving the problems of their families is the first priority, agreements have been made with renowned educational institutions for the best education of the children of martyrs, jobs have also been arranged. Additional IG Welfare Riaz Nazir Gara, DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin and other officers were also present in the ceremony.
