Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar met DPO DG Khan Ahmad Mohiuddin and his team at the Central Police Office in reference of the police station diaries. IG Punjab appreciated the police team for thwarting the entry attempt and attack of terrorists of banned organization from Jhangi check post with timely action. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that police team's commitment and high alertness played the vital role in thwarting the nefarious intentions of the terrorists and forced them to retreat. Officials posted at border check posts are leaden wall between citizens and terrorist and real heroes of the Punjab Police. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar reviewed the performance of DG Khan Police team in the auditorium of Central Police Office. DPO Ahmed Mohiuddin while giving a briefing about the performance of DG Khan Police and the challenges faced during the last months said that DG Khan Police is continuing intelligence-based operations against dangerous dacoits, terrorists and elements involved in menace of smuggling. All police stations in Dera Ghazi Khan have been shifted to Special Initiative Protocol. Along with crime prevention, effective use of modern technology has made public service delivery easier and better for the citizens. IG Punjab discussed with DSPs and SHOs of DG Khan Police about their performance and important cases being traced.
While talking about the important cases DG Khan police team briefed that police station Sadar foiled the smuggling of hundi money worth 4 crore 94 lakh PKR from a suspicious car on Taunsa bypass. 01 Crore 20 Lakh in cash including 70 tola of gold jewellery looted from a house in Faridabad Colony of Civil Line Police Station were recovered within a short time of 6 hours. Police Station Kot Chatta police arrested the inter-district dacoit Sardar alias Sardari Mirani, who had more than 02 dozen serious cases registered in Rajanpur, Muzaffargarh and Dera Ghazi Khan districts. DPO Ahmed Muhyiddin is conducting open courts regularly to solve the problems of the public in Circle Taunsa, Circle Sadar, Circle Kot Chata and Circle City.
