The motorcycle drivers traced through the software for not using the helmets while driving, will be fined, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar.

Under the leadership of Inspector General Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar. Punjab Police is actively engaged for protection of lives and properties of citizens, eradication of crimes and in effective enforcement of traffic laws on the roads and in this regard, another significant step has been taken to ensure strict action against the motorcycle riders without helmets. According to the details, Punjab Safe Cities Authority has developed the first of its kind software to trace motorcycle riders without helmets. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Punjab Police is ensuring the enforcement of traffic laws through artificial intelligence based modern technology. Punjab Safe Cities Authority's CCTV cameras will identify motorcycle riders on the roads without helmets with the help of software. IG Punjab said that the motorcycle riders without helmets traced through the software will be fined. IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar said that artificial intelligence based software has been developed by SSP Rifat Bukhari under the leadership of MD Safe Cities Ahsan Younas, through which citizens will follow the compliance of traffic rules more seriously as software will identify the motorcycle riders without helmets for imposing the fines.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that under the orders of the Lahore High Court, a fine of 02 thousand rupees will have to be paid for driving a motorcycle without a helmet, so all citizens should make sure to use a helmet to avoid accidents and heavy fines while traveling in the city on the motorbike. MD Safe Cities Authority Ahsan Younas said that this is the first individual software of its kind to trace helmet violations developed by Punjab Safe Cities Authority and through this artificial intelligence based software technology, the actions against the law violators will be enhanced and policing capabilities of Punjab Police will further strengthened.
