Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that police martyrs are most valuable asset of the department, best welfare of their families is among top priorities of the department. IG Punjab said that the work of providing plots and houses for the residence for the families of all the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives before 2007 is going on and will be completed soon and in this regard, plots have been arranged for the families of more than 550 martyrs so far. These views were expressed by IG Punjab today while meeting the families of the martyrs at Police Lines Faisalabad and distributing the ownership papers of the plots among them.
According to the details, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar arrived in Faisalabad on a one-day visit. RPO Faisalabad Dr Muhammad Abid Khan and CPO Faisalabad Capt Retd. Muhammad Ali Zia received the IG Punjab.IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited the martyrs' memorial in Police Line Faisalabad, laid flowers, and prayed for the high ranks of the martyrs.IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar met the families of the martyrs at Police Line Faisalabad and distributed ownership papers of the plots among the families of the martyrs of Faisalabad Police. In the ceremony, 10 martyrs of faisalabad Police have been given plots in various residential schemes equipped with modern facilities. IG Punjab said that the welfare branch at Central Police Office is arranging plots for all the families of martyrs who embraced martyrdom before 2017. IGP Punjab said that the families of the martyrs are also being provided support from the endowment fund for construction of the houses on the plots. IG Punjab said that the families of martyred policemen are essential part of us, we will not leave them alone under any circumstances. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar expressed paid rich tribute to martyrs and said that the martyrs live in our hearts, their families are being well taken care of in every possible way.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and MD Safe City Authority DIG Ahsan Younas visited Safe City Project in Police Line Faisalabad. Project Director PITB, Officials Safe City Project C&W, FWO, IDAP and other officers were also present. RPO Faisalabad Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan and CPO Faisalabad Captain (retd) Muhammad Ali Zia briefed the IGP Punjab about the construction works on Safe City Project. IGP Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the RPO Faisalabad and his team and issued orders to complete the Safe City project as soon as possible.
Later, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited recently upgraded Police Station People's Colony which was transferred on Special Initiative Protocol. IGP Punjab reviewed the working of the police station after providing modern facilities. IG Punjab said that the purpose of upgrading police stations is to make public service delivery in police offices easier and better for the public and more possible measures will remain continue to further improve the facilities and services for the citizens.
