Punjab Safe Cities Headquarters: IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar chaired high level meeting
All RPOs, CPOs, DPOs, unit heads and concerned officers of the province attended through video link.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed to ensure every possible steps for the convenience of the citizens and welfare of the force.
By timely completion of development projects and improving service delivery, we are highlighting the overall positive image of Punjab Police, IG Punjab.
 
Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that along with police stations SIPs project, the renovation work of traffic police offices across Punjab, including Lahore, is being completed on an emergency basis. IGP Punjab said that measures have been taken in collaboration with PITB to increase the rate of traffic licensing and issuance of online licensing. IG Punjab said that APCs are being provided to Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur police to support in Kacha operation and armed vehicles to CTD Punjab which will speed up the targeted operations againat anti social elements. IG Punjab said that we are trying to project positive image of Punjab Police by timely completion of development projects and further improving service delivery. IG Punjab said that acquisition of land for new buildings of police stations, construction of smart police stations is in progress, whereas after Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Faisalabad, safe city project will expand in 18 cities of the province. He expressed these views while presiding over a high-level meeting at Qurban Lines Safe City Authority.
 
In the meeting, amendments in Punjab Highway Patrol Rules, licensing centers, driving training schools, road safety measures were reviewed in detail. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar while directing further measures for the convenience of the citizens and the welfare of the force said that all DPOs should personally monitor the work of upgradation of telecontrol rooms in all police stations. Dr. Usman Anwar said that this year, more funds will be provided for the health, education and welfare of the force and their families in comparison of 2023. In the meeting, the ongoing development and welfare projects across the province including Special Initiative Police Stations, Pasban, Safe Cities, Service Centers, Tahaffuz Manzil, Tahaffuz Darsgah were reviewed. RPOs, CPOs, DPOs, concerned officers participated through video link. Senior officers including Additional IG Operations Punjab, MD Punjab Safe Cities, CTO Lahore, DIG Operations Lahore, DIG Welfare, DIG Tele were present in the meeting.
