Punjab Police's historic initiative for the education of transgender children with the support of a private welfare organization.

Punjab Police, with the support of a private welfare organization, laid the foundation stone of "Tahaffuz Darsgah" for education od transgender children in the Jallo area of LHR.

Mutual cooperation will be enhanced for the education and training of transgender children of the age of 05 to 18 years in Tahaffuz Darsgah, IG Punjab.

Excellent education till primary level, different technical skills will be taught to improve quality of life. IGP Punjab

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and founder trustee of UK Curriculum & Accreditation Body Zahid Bhatti signed the MOU to establish school a few days ago.

Under the leadership of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police is active for the best possible welfare and empowerment of the transgenders and in this regard, Punjab Police has taken another historic step and laid the foundation stone of "Tahaffuz Darsgah" for transgender children in Jallo area in Lahore with the support of a private welfare organization. The school "Tahaffuz Darsgah" for transgender children is being built on four kanals of land. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar was the chief guest of the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Tahaffuz Darsgah. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar laid the foundation stone of an exclusive school for education of transgenders along with the chairman of British organization UK Curriculum & Accreditation Body and with some Transgenders. British organization UK Curriculum & Accreditation Body delegation included Zahid Bhatti, Nabil Amir, Abdullah Mushtaq and Asad Ali Malik. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that joint measures will be taken with mutual cooperation for the education and training of transgender children aged 05 to 18 years. Transgender children will be taught various skills to improve the quality of life, along with provision of the best education at the primary level. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and founder trustee of UK Curriculum and Accreditation Body Zahid Bhatti signed the MOU to establish the school just a few days ago. The UK Curriculum and Accreditation Body will bear the cost of setting up Tahaffuz school for the education and training of transgender children. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said joint measures are being taken with mutual cooperation for the education and training of transgender children and providing facilities to them. IG Punjab said that they are trying to end guru culture in the transgender community, provide education for transgender children and better employment opportunities for the transgenders. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Punjab Police has provided land for the establishment of Primary school and Vocational Education for Transgenders from the platform of Tahaffuz markaz. Meanwhile, for the working of Tahaffuz Darsgah, the Punjab Police will formulate the SOPs will consultation of UK organization and will also ensure the security for the Tahaffuz Darsgah Zahid Bhatti from the UK Curriculum & Accreditation Body said that the UK Curriculum and Accreditation Body will develop the curriculum, teacher training and day-to-day program of activities..MD Punjab Safe Cities Authority Ahsan Younas, COO Mustansar Feroze, CTO Amara Athar and other officers also addressed the ceremony. Victim Support Officers Zanaya , Transgender Shabnam Chaudhry and others appreciated the steps taken by Punjab Police to protect the rights of transgenders in police Tahaffuz markaz. MD Punjab Safe Cities Authority Ahsan Younas, DIG Welfare and Finance Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, DIG Operations Lahore Ali Nasir Rizvi, CTO Lahore Amara Athar, SSP Admin, AIG Operations Punjab, SDPO Gulberg ASP Shaherbano, senior police officers and a large number of transgenders participated in the foundation stone ceremony of the tahaffuz school.
