More than 20 lakh rupees have been issued for the treatment of children of police officials.
Lahore police constable Tauseef Akram was issued 15 lakh rupees for the cochlear implant of his four-year-old son Muhammad Hadi.
On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, regular measures are continue for the health welfare of police officials as well as their families, in continuation of which, IG Punjab has released more than 20 lakh rupees to the police employees of various districts including Lahore for the treatment of their children.
According to the details, 1.5 million rupees were issued to Lahore police constable Tauseef Akram for the cochlear implant of his four-year-old son Muhammad Hadi. After cochlear implant surgery, four-year-old Mohammad Hadi will be able to hear and live his life like a normal child. Spokesman Punjab Police said that ASI Muhammad Hanif was given 03 lakh rupees for the treatment of five-year-old daughter Manahil's heart disease.Constable Bilal Akbar was given one and a half lakh rupees for the treatment of thalassemia of his three-year-old son Muhammad Hussain whereas lady constable Afshan Nawaz has been given 70 thousand rupees for the treatment of his three-year-old son Abu Bakar.
The Welfare Management Committee under the chairmanship of Additional IG Welfare Riyaz Nazir Gara approved the above mentioned cases and sent them to IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar for release of funds. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed that under the Hamaray Phool project, measures should be continued for the health welfare of police employees as well as their children and full assistance should be given to support officials suffering from health problems.
