Goods stolen from army trenches recovered

KASUR: Mandi Usmanwala police recovered doors and windows of the army trenches from a scrap shop in village Nahabat on Friday. These items were stolen from the army trenches in the border area near the village. On the complaint of Subedar Shafqatullah of the Pakistan Army, police lodged a case and arrested a suspect. According to the first information report, thieves had taken away doors and windows fixed at three trenches near the village about 20 days back. The suspected thieves were identified in the FIR as Ikram and his father Mushtaq, residents of village Pial Khurd. According to police, they also recovered stolen goods of the Pakistan Railways and the Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) from the scrap shop. Police said separate cases would be lodged after receiving applications from both the departments.
