IG Punjab directed traffic police to coordinate effectively with PITB to resolve issues related to online traffic licensing.
Inspector General Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar has directed to start the pilot project of E-Khidmat Markaz in the provincial capital, citizens will be able to avail 14 police services from single machine in E-Khidmat Markaz, scanner will be attached to the machine and fee will be paid through PSID. Pictures will be taken on the spot. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that after the pilot project in Lahore, this service will be extended to all the districts of the province, being placed in khidmat markaz later. IG Punjab directed the traffic police to coordinate effectively with PITB to resolve issues and problems related to online traffic licensing and said that all services including web-based online licensing should be shifted to the traffic application by January 31. The App is being launched to counteract the falae practices. IG Punjab also directed to complete the work of infrastructure development & renovation of offices of traffic police by January 31. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the Special Initiative Police Station in Model Town and Ichra and Saiban Project should be completed by January 10, all the work should be completed as soon as possible as per the SOPs of the Special Initiative Protocol. IG Punjab said that the wall of the basement of the Central Police Office will be decorated to honour the police officers with outstanding performance, it will feature their names, photos and thanksgiving messages . These views were expressed by IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar while presiding over a high-level meeting at Safe City Headquarters in Qurban Police Lines. In the meeting W khidmat Markaz, traffic licensing issues, special initiative police stations and other departmental issues were discussed.
In the meeting, the ongoing construction work of Safe City projects in different districts of the province was also reviewed. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that MD Safe City will start field visits to review the ongoing work on Safe City projects in other districts. During the meeting, detailed discussion on construction work of police flats, other infrastructure development projects was also held. MD Safe City Authority Ahsan Younas, DIG Operations Lahore Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Chairman PITB, Chief Operating Officer Safe City Mustansar Feroze, CTO Lahore Amara Athar, SSP Operations Lahore, SP Model Town, ASP Gulberg and other officers attended the meeting.
