03 innocent children of SOS Children's Village arrived at Central Police Office in ASP uniform. Lahore: According to the sources of Daily Notable, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that the working relationship between Punjab Police and SOS Children Village is being further strengthened and homeless & orphan or lost children coming at police tahaffuz centers will be admitted to SOS Children's Village.IG Punjab said that the police officers will remain in regular contact with the children living in SOS Village and young children living in SOS Village will be given an internship opportunity under the Friends of Police programme to learn about police working. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar while appreciating the role of SOS Children's Village for its excellent services in helping, providing food shelter and building character of homeless and orphan children said that the service of raising and educating innocent children is commendable. He expressed these views today while meeting the SOS Village delegation and three innocent children in police uniform at the Central Police Office.
According to the details, the children living in SOS Children's Village became guests of Punjab Police for a day. 03 innocent children of SOS Village visited the Central Police Office in the uniform of ASPs. Children Ayan, Ahsan and Sayam dressed in ASP uniform met and saluted IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar. Assistant Commissioner Model Town Sahibzada Yousuf, Director SOS Village Almas Butt, Assistant Director Munaza Sheikh and SDPO Gulberg, ASP Syeda Shaherbano Naqvi were accompanied with the children. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar welcomed the ASPs children to the Central Police Office. The children were briefed about working of various branches, also shown the Police martyrs and Ghazi Walls. IG Punjab recorded a special message with the ASPs children, He expressed good wishes for the future of the children. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the process of good governance, public and service delivery has always improved with the cooperation of Pakistan Administrator Services and Police Service of Pakistan and effective coordination will be continued in this regard.
Later, ASPs SOS children also participated in the meeting held under the chairmanship of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar. Additional IG Operations, DIG Logistics, DIG Welfare, AIG Operations, AIG Training, AIG Finance and SDPO Gulberg were also present in the meeting. IG Punjab while briefing director SOS Village about the working of Police Tahaffuz Centers said that the Punjab police are providing help and guidance to the missing and helpless children from the platform of Tahaffuz Centers. Additional IG Operations Punjab Shahzada Sultan while talking during the meeting said that under Friends of Police and Volunteers in Police programs, 14 thousand young students have completed internship with Punjab Police so far and in the future sessions of this program will also include the children of SOS Village.
