IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar's another good initiative for higher education of police officers

Punjab Police have signed an MOU to enhance the mutual cooperation with leading Private Sector University.

A private university has established an annual scholarship fund of Rs. 05 crore for the higher education of Punjab police officers.

Police officers of all ranks will be given scholarships for Masters, MPhil and PhD degrees, IG Punjab.

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has taken another positive step for higher education of police officers. According to the details, Punjab Police have signed an MOU to enhance the mutual cooperation with leading Private Sector University. Under the MOU the private university has established a scholarship fund of Rs.05 crore per year for the higher education of Punjab police officers. Police officers of all ranks will be given scholarships for Masters, MPhil and PhD degrees.

IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar said that the police officers will bear 10% of the educational expenses themselves, 90% will be borne by the university. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that police officers will be able to get higher education in various fields of modern policing in private university and other important subjects, which will increase the efficiency of police officers and improve public service delivery. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that foreign scholarships have also been commenced for the children of the police force. Children with high academic records will be provided with all possible assistance from the Punjab Police Welfare Fund for studying in abroad.
