IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar signed an MOU to enhance mutual cooperation between Punjab Police and UMT.
Under the MOU, a special scholarship fund of Rs. 05 crore has been established in UMT for the education of children of police employees and officers.

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited the University of Management Technology (UMT) along with a delegation of police officers. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar signed an MOU to enhance mutual cooperation between Punjab Police and UMT. Under the MOU, a special scholarship fund of Rs. 05 crore has been established in UMT for the education of children of police employees and officers. In the University of Management and Technology, police officers and children will be able to pursue higher education and short courses in various disciplines. Rector UMT Dr. Asif Raza gave a briefing to IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and the police delegation. After signing the MOU, IG Punjab addressed the students of UMT and answered their questions.
IG Punjab informed the students about the special initiative protocol police stations, police service centers and recently implemented positive innovations in the police system.IGP Punjab said that Punjab Police has started Volunteers in Police and Friends of Police programs to connect with young students. All police stations, service centers of Punjab are ready for inspection of students and civil society. Dr. Usman Anwar said that Punjab Police has attached all the documents of its services with QR code. Punjab Police is ensuring effective use of modern technology to fight the crime and provide services to citizens. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that the welfare, working & training system of the police force has been upgraded, the infrastructure has been aligned with the modern requirements. IG Punjab further said that the students of UMT will be given the opportunity of internship for research in Punjab police offices and training institutes. After addressing the students, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar also met the Provincial Minister for Mines and Minerals, Transport and Livestock Ibrahim Hasan Murad. On behalf of UMT, Acting President UMT Lieutenant General Retired Javed Hasan and Registrar Salim Atta and other officers participated. At the end of the meeting, UMT also gave a souvenir to IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar. Additional IG Punjab, Additional IG Welfare, DIG Welfare, AIG Operations, AIG Inspection, SSP Operations, SP Sidra and ASP Kamil and other officers were present on the occasion.
