Lahore: According to the sources of Daily Notable, Under the directions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police intensified the crackdown against the dangerous fugitives wanted in heinous crime cases. In continuation of which Punjab Police Lahore team, has arrested and extradited 03 dangerous fugitives wanted in murder cases from the United Arab Emirates. This year, the total number of arrested fugitives from other countries has reached 150. These fugitives/proclaimed offenders have been arrested from America, UK, Europe, Africa, Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries. Punjab Police spokesperson said that first fugitive Zeeshan Yousaf, was wanted by Lahore Police for killing a citizen by firing in 2023. Second fugitive Hidayat ullah killed a civilian in Rahim Yar Khan in 2017. Third fugitive Muhammad Akram shot and killed a citizen in Bahawalpur in 2021. All three criminals fled abroad after committing the crimes.
Punjab Police issued red notices from Interpol, arrested the three criminals in coordination with UAE Police and extradited them back to Pakistan after completing the legal procedures. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar commended the police team for tracing and arresting A category dangerous fugitives from abroad. IGP Dr Usman Anwar directed to complete the legal process as soon as possible and the three criminals should be punished. IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar said that by effective mutual coordination with Interpol and FIA, Punjab Police should arrest more dangerous fugitives and brought them all to the justice.
