IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar distributed wheelchairs to the special children of 15 police employees with the support of a private welfare organization (Milestone).
IGP Dr Usman Anwar appreciated the cooperation of Shafiqur Rehman, CEO of a private organization for providing wheelchairs to Punjab Police employees and their children.

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar distributed wheelchairs to special children of 15 police employees with the support of a private welfare organization (Milestone). A ceremony was held at the Central Police Office to distribute wheelchairs to special children of police officers, in which program manager of the private welfare organization Ali Hamza and other officials were also present. 09 employees of Lahore Police were given wheelchairs for their special children. One official from each Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, Kasur, Telecommunication, PC and PHP was given a wheelchair for their children. These children of police employees were unable to walk due to polio, paralysis or other diseases. A private welfare organization has developed special wheelchairs keeping in mind the physical disabilities of each child.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar thanked the private organization for supporting the welfare of children of police employees. IGP Dr. Usman Anwar said that the CEO of the private organization Shafiq ur Rehman and other welfare are doing great social work by providing wheelchairs to Punjab police employees and their children. He appreciated the special cooperation of such institutions, IG Punjab said that Shafiq-ur-Rehman has exemplary spirit for social work, IG Punjab mentioned that the Punjab Police is also providing all possible support in helping and rehabilitating the special children of its employees. Hamaray Phool project has also provided financial support and medical treatment for children with medical problems. IG Punjab further said that provision of wheelchairs will facilitate mobility of these children suffering from medical problems. Hamza Ali, on behalf of the private welfare organization, said that they will provide wheelchairs to the more affected children of police employees in collaboration with the Punjab Police. Additional IG Welfare Riaz Nazir Gara, DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin,DIG Establishment Dr. Inam Waheed and other officers including AIG Welfare were present in the event.
