Punjab Police will launch a national-wide road safety special campaign for public awareness.

MOU signed between Punjab Police and Private Broadcaster network limited at the Central Police Office.

Under the MoU, both the organizations will jointly conduct a special awareness campaign about road safety and traffic rules.

Driving without a license, driving a motorcycle with a helmet, underage driving and road safety tips and police services for road user will be highlighted.

Punjab Police has decided to launch a nation wide special campaign for road safety, protection of human lives in traffic accidents and public awareness about traffic rules,and in this regard Punjab police and private broadcasting institution has inked an MOU with Punjab Police. In a ceremony held at the Central Police Office, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and CEO of the private company Duraid Qureshi signed the MOU. Under the MOU, the two organizations will jointly conduct a special awareness campaign about road safety and traffic rules. Under the MOU, awareness measures about threats involved in driving without a license, riding a motorcycle with a helmet, underage driving and safe use of the road will be highlighted. Punjab Police and private organization will jointly establish Digital School of Road Safety,a exclusive campaign will be launched on social media channels to inform more citizens and convey the message the message of road safety to the young generation. Advertisements will be run on different areas of road safety such as driving without a license, use of helmet, underage driving, road safety guidelines, lane discipline and over speeding.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the MOU the with the private broadcaster company. IG Punjab said that under this MOU, there will be improvements in measures regarding safe use of roads, safe driving and accident prevention. With the support of the private sector, the message will be reached to more people. Duraid Qureshi, CEO of the private organization, said that under the MOU, a joint national level awareness campaign about road safety will be launched with the Punjab Police.

Awareness programs on road safety rules, advertisements and digital campaigns are also part of the MOU. MD Safe City Authority Ahsan Younas, DIG Athar Waheed, CTO Lahore Amara Athar, Chief Operating Officer Safe City, Mustanasir Feroze, SSP Investigation Dr. Anoosh Masood, ASP Gulbarg Syeda Shaherbano and other officers were present in the meeting.
