Arrival of Christmas, In the honour of Christian employees and officers of Punjab Police, Two ceremonies were held at Central Police Office and Police Lines Qila Gujar Singh.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar cut the Christmas cake with the Christian employees and distributed Christian gifts among the employees.
IG Punjab also participated in cut cake with Christian children and families at Police Lines Fort Gujjar Singh.

On the arrival of Christmas, a grand ceremony was held in the honour of the Christian officers and employees of the Central Police Office, in which IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar cut the Christmas cake with the Christian employees and distributed gifts among them.IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, while congratulating the Christian employees on their religious festival said that the whole police force is wishing Christian brothers and sisters on the arrival of their religious festival and will participate in their joys at this moment. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar further said that 26 thousand police officers and personnel will perform security duty on the occasion of Christmas across the province and will provide full security to churches, Christian worship places and recreational points across the province on the occasion of the Christmas.
IG Punjab said that more than 3,800 officers and officials of the Punjab Police, including Christians, will provide protection and services to the citizens. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that all religions preach peace, security, love and brotherhood, Punjab Police has set up Meesaq centers to solve the problems of the Christian community, DIG Welfare and Finance Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, Senior police officers including SSP Investigation Lahore Anoosh Masood Chaudhry, AIG Welfare Naveed Ajmal, SP Abdul Hanan, SP Bushra Nisar participated in the ceremony.
Later, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar arrived at the police lines Qila Gujjar Singh , where Christian children welcomed IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar with bouquets. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar cut the Christmas cake with Christian employees of police lines. A large number of Christian families and children participated in the event. IG Punjab distributed Christmas gifts and Eid gifts among the Christian employees. IG Punjab spent time with the Christian employees, congratulated them on the religious festival, IG Punjab said that the Christian employees serving across the province are a valuable asset of the Punjab Police, all Christian citizens are Pakistani citizens with equal rights, protection of their lives and properties is the top priority of the Punjab Police. Dr. Usman Anwar said that Christian educational institutions are providing the best quality education to children in many cities of the country, I myself had the opportunity to study in a missionary school.IG Punjab said that the recruitment of minority, especially Christian citizens on the quota of minority employees in the police department is being ensured and Christian employees are being given the best environment and equal opportunities for professional development. IG Punjab further said that if any citizen is facing exploitation or any difficulty then feel free to come to me, the doors of my office are always open for all minority citizens and employees. Dr. Usman Anwar added during his speech that maximum possible cooperation for the welfare and solving the problems of christian employees is being ensured. IGP Dr. Usman Anwar said that christian employees form among us and we are incomplete without them. DIG Operations Lahore Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, SSP Operations Ali Raza SP Headquarters Hasan Javed Bhatti and other officers were also present.
