Punjab Police has been awarded with another prestigious honor for its excellent performance of duties, the Chinese Consulate has awarded the Special Protection Unit of Punjab Police with the Friendship Award. According to the details, a friendship award ceremony was held by the Chinese Consulate in Lahore at a local hotel in which the Chinese Consul General presented the DIG Special Protection Unit Tayyab Hafeez Cheema with the Friendship Award. DIG Special Protection Unit Tayyab Hafeez Cheema said that the Special Protection Unit is ensuring foolproof security of all foreign residents including Chinese citizens in the province. Spokesman Punjab Police said that the Chinese Consul General had announced friendship awards to the institutions and officers who ensure the best cooperation with the Chinese Consulate and in this regard, the Chinese Consulate General has given an award appreciating the services of the Special Protection Unit. The Chinese Consulate has given awards to various institutions for promotion of pak china bilateral cooperation and ensuring the best coordination this year.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Pakistan-China friendship is sweeter than honey, higher than mountains and deeper than seas. IG Punjab further said that the Special Protection Unit will ensure the security of Chinese residents and experts with more effort and determination than before and in this regard there will be no reduction in the provision of modern resources to the force.
