LAHORE: According to the sources of Daily Notable, On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, the process of issuing driving licenses to citizens continues without interruption across the province, in continuation of which, driving licenses were issued to more than 2 lakh 09 thousand citizens across the province including Lahore. Punjab Police spokesperson said that the citizens are getting special convenience from the online system and last day 01 lakh 37 thousand 299 citizens got licenses through online while 72620 citizens got licenses from traffic police offices, service centers, police stations. These licenses include all types of licenses including learner, regular, international and renewal. Spokesman Punjab Police further said that the rate of driving license has been increased by thousands of percent compared to previous years.
The spokesperson of Punjab Police further said that the increase is due to the online issuance and more active new DLMIS system of the traffic police. Spokesman Punjab Police further said that the facility of online renewal of learner's license has also been introduced, thousands of citizens are benefiting from the facility of online renewal sitting at home every day. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that best service delivery should be provided to the citizens coming for license at all centers including traffic police offices, service centers and driving licenses should be provided to maximum possible citizens.
