Under the effective supervision of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, a record number of driving licenses are being issued to citizens across the province. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that driving licenses were issued to more than 2 lakh citizens across the province including Lahore yesterday, the rate of increase in driving license is 25 hundred times higher than the last year. IG Punjab said that 123,202 citizens across the province, including Lahore, obtained licenses via online system, while 76952 citizens obtained licenses from various offices, service centers and other centers under the traffic police licensing system, in this way, an overall increase of 2500% has been recorded in the driving license rate compared to last year.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed Additional IG Traffic Mirza Faran Baig to supervise the license issuance process himself. IGP Punjab directed that according to the rules and regulations, driving licenses should be issued to more and more citizens as possible. IG Punjab directed that best service delivery should be provided to citizens coming for license at all centers including traffic police offices, service centers.
