Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar organized a ceremony at the Central Police Office in the honor of new promoted Sub Inspectors of Sheikhupura Region who were promoted from ASI to the rank of Sub Inspector.In the ceremony IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar pinned the ranks to 31 sub-inspectors of Sheikhupura region.RPO Sheikhupura region Babar Sarfraz Alpa and the families of the promoted officers specially attended the function.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed the promoted sub-inspectors to perform their duties more diligently. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that 548 officers and officials have been given departmental promotion in 10 promotion boards in Sheikhupura region in the last 11 months. IG Punjab said that 11,000 posts of constables in the police department are vacant, they will start recruitment soon. IG Punjab directed the promoted officers to speed up intelligence-based operations to eradicate organized crime in Sheikhupura region. IGP directed that DPOs should monitor the crackdown against habitual criminals and high profile target offenders themselves. Dr. Usman Anwar stressed that the accused involved in the heinous menace of the drugs should be brought under the grip of the law and given strict punishment. AIG Admin Sahibzada Bilal Umar and other officers were also present in the rank pinning ceremony.
