Rank pinning ceremony of the  promoted senior traffic wardens held in the central police office.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and other officers pinned new ranks to 50 officers promoted to the post of Senior Traffic Wardens.

In various districts including Lahore, 312 wardens were promoted to the post of senior traffic wardens, IG Punjab.

IG Punjab mentioned to start the upgradation and renovation of traffic police offices and infrastructure in the next one month.

Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar organized a ceremony at the Central Police Office in honour of traffic police officers who were promoted from Wardens to Senior Wardens., in which IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar participated wearing the traffic police uniform.

In the ceremony, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and other officers pinned the new ranks to 50 officers, who promoted to the post of senior traffic wardens. According to the details, 312 wardens were promoted to the post of senior traffic wardens in various districts including Lahore, including 100 in Lahore, 81 in Rawalpindi, 68 in Faisalabad, 41 in Multan and 22 in Gujranwala.

IG Punjab said that after 17 years in the traffic police, the series of promotions was started this year, more than 01 thousand wardens have been promoted during this year. Dr. Usman Anwar said that there are more than 80 seats available for promotion to DSP rank in traffic police, on which officers will be promoted according to merit and seniority. IG Punjab while addressing the traffic wardens said that incidents of violence on the traffic wardens during duty, health issues need attention, steps are being taken to redress them.IG Punjab said that efforts are being made to fix long working hours of traffic wardens and to formulate a coherent promotion structure. IG Punjab also indicated the upgradation and renovation of traffic police offices and infrastructure in the next one month. IG Punjab said that traffic officers should reward the departmental promotions to the citizens in the form of better performance than before and during duty, services should be provided to the citizens with good morals, positive attitude and sincere intention. Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, Additional IG Traffic Mirza Faran Baig, MD Safe City Authority Ahsan Younis, DIG Establishment-1 Dr. Inam Waheed, DIG Establishment-2 Zeeshan Asghar and other officers were also present in the ceremony.
