LAHORE. New Anarkali police have arrested an impersonator posing as a journalist and food inspector. According to the police, the suspect had harassed hotel owners and extorted money from them. He entered the premises and introduced himself as a food inspector and journalist. A journalism card was seized from the possession of the suspect, Nazim. He was arrested after he arrived at a hotel and introduced himself as a journalist. Meanwhile, police personnel posted at Haloki checkpoint ar- rested three members of a gang allegedly involved in barging into houses disguised as government employees for committing robbery. The arrested suspects were identified as Adeel, Waqas and Ahmad. The police recovered four laptops, two mobile phones, stolen vehicles, illegal weapons and other valuables from them. The suspects had re- portedly committed a robbery near Sargodha Road a few days back. They posed as government employees to conduct reconnaissance for the robberies. The suspects had also affixed fake government number plates on their vehicles.
