SAHIWAL: Yousafwala police claim to have seized a huge arms cache and thousands of bullets from an alleged smuggler at the Lahore-Khanewal highway on Friday.Reports said police recovered 138 pistols and rifles from a car and arrested a suspect, Naeem Akhter Pathan, who was smuggling the arms and ammunition into Punjab from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). District Police Officer (DPO) Faisal Shehzad said police recovered 91 30 bore pistols, 39 nine MM pistols, 18 rifles, 148 magazines, and 30,000 bullets from a car coming from Lahore. He said the suspect told police that the arms and ammunition were to be supplies to a party in Sahiwal City. Police are investigating the matter further, he added.
