IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar pinned the ranks to newly promoted 61 sub-inspectors of Lahore Police.
According to merit, the process of departmental promotion of 5000 officials is going on, Record 20000 promotions will be completed in a year, IG Punjab.

Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar has said that departmental promotions according to merit is basic right of every officer and official, which is being given to them in all the districts of province without delay. IG Punjab said that departmental promotions have been given to 660 officers and personnel of various cadres, including 127 ASIs of Lahore Police. IG Punjab said that the process of giving promotions to another 5,000 more officers and officials across the province is under processing, 20,000 record promotions will be completed very soon in a year. IG Punjab said that more than 05 thousand officials of the police force have been regularized, children of police martyrs and 02 thousand officials who died during the duty have been recruited in the police force. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said the recruitment process of 10,000 more constables in the police department will be commenced soon. He expressed these views while addressing in the ceremony of ranks pinning of recently promoted sub Inspectors of the Lahore Police at the Central Police Office today.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar organized a special ceremony at the Central Police Office in honor of the officers promoted from ASI to Sub-Inspector, in which IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar pinned the ranks of sub-inspector to 61 ASIs of different wings of Lahore Police. Parents, children and families of sub-inspectors specially participated in the ceremony, the promoted officers reiterated their commitment to serve and protect the citizens as per the vision of IG Punjab. Newly promoted officers vowed tha they will transfer the benefit of these promotions to the citizens by performing their duties more diligently and sincerely than before. Senior officers including DIG Operations Lahore Ali Nasir Rizvi, AIG Admin Sahibzada Bilal Umar, SSP Admin Lahore Atif Nazir, AIG Discipline Ahsan Saifullah, AIG Welfare Naveed Ajmal were present.
