This year, 1,18,873 proclaimed offenders of A and B category were arrested from across the province, said Punjab Police spokesperson.
This year, a total of 80,978 court absconders, 33,967 habitual criminals, have been arrested from across Punjab, the spokesperson of Punjab Police.
Operations against criminal elements in all districts, including Lahore, should be accelerated with more effective supervision, IG Punjab.
On the direction of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, intelligence-based operations and crackdown of the Punjab Police against criminal elements is going on in all the districts of the province, in continuation of which, thousands of proclaimed offenders, court absconders, habitual & professional criminals have been arrested across the province.
According to the details, in the last 24 hours, 177 dangerous proclaimed offenders , 213 court absconders and 58 habitual criminals (TOs) wanted in serious incidents have been arrested from across Punjab including Lahore. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that 1658 proclaimed offenders, 2070 court absconders, 523 habitual criminals (TOs) were arrested during one week. While this year, 1,18,873 proclaimed offenders of A and B category have been arrested from across the province, including 16,943 criminals of A category and 1,01930 criminals of B category. This year, a total of 80,978 court absconders, 33,967 habitual criminals (Target Offenders), were arrested from across Punjab. In the provincial capital, the spokesperson of Punjab Police briefed that 22100 proclaimed offenders of A and B category were arrested in Lahore this year. Similarly, 48104 court absconders and 17700 habitual criminals (Target Offenders) have been arrested in Lahore this year. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar ordered to speed up intelligence-based operations against habitual and professional criminals. Operations against criminal elements in all districts, including Lahore, should be accelerated with more effective supervision, and dangerous criminals involved in organized crime should be brought to justice. IG Punjab further said that the crackdown against proclaimed offenders inside and outside the country should be continued without interruption, and all the criminals should be arrested and brought to justice.
